PIV Card Renewal

There are eight requirements to be satisfied:

1. The employee must be in good standing (Requirement 73)
2. OPM NACI Checks must be followed (Requirement 74)
3. Maximum PIV Card validity is five years (Requirement 75)
4. Renewal can start 6-weeks prior to expiration (Requirement 76)
5. The Issuer will verify the card fingerprints (Requirement 77)
6. The PIV Card must be collected and destroyed (Requirement 78)
7. A new FASC-N is required (Requirement 79)
8. Authentication and signature certificates cannot exceed the card expiration date (Requirement 80)
