Biometric Data Specifications

There are five requirements to be satisfied:

1. Biometrics collected during identity proofing  (Requirement 59)
2. The PIV Card must contain two fingerprints (Requirement 60)
3. PIV Card shall use the Common Biometric Exchange Formats Framework (Requirement 61)
4. Biometric data must be PIN protected (Requirement 62)
5. Electronic Biometric data must be protected (Requirement 63)
